Here’s the truth:
Starting a profitable YouTube channel in 2018 takes a lot of work.
The good news is that there are some YouTube channel ideas that will be easier than others to start making money with.
One of the biggest decisions you need to make is what type of channel you want to build. A key factor in getting loyal viewers is choosing a niche and being consistent.
So what makes a good YouTube niche?
First and foremost, it should be topic that you care about. Building your channel just to make money on YouTube is likely going to hold you back. You won’t have as much fun and that will eventually show to your viewers.
YouTube stars who make the most money are clearly doing what they love!
Secondly, the niche should be something that you are knowledgeable about, or you are willing to learn lots about. You don’t necessarily need to be an expert, but it helps.
Any subscribers that you earn are going to come back because they trust you, and they are learning from you. In some cases, they might just be entertained by you but often the YouTube channels that make the most money are the ones that help out their viewers.
We recommend that you use a free app like TubeBuddy if you are looking to find popular video ideas to get you started your niche.

There are a LOT of digital tools out there. No matter what you need, there is probably an app for that. Or maybe even hundreds.

Renish Sivadas says
Do I have multiple niche on same channel ?
Vlogging Guides says
Hey Renish. It is ok to have two related niches in the same channel, but we wouldn’t recommend two totally different niches. For example, you could do videos for technology reviews, and gaming reviews because your audience might be interested in both. However, if you create a sports channel that is also a beauty & fashion channel, then it might confuse your viewers and make them less likely to subscribe.
If you decide to do tap into multiple niches, then take advantage of playlists and organize them appropriately!

i was thinking of starting a personal vlog channel, the idea is to tell a story of my personal life experiences, scince there was a lot of things going on in my life, and it is still happening. Do you think that someone could find it interesting?
How to beat the fear of standing in front of the camera?
kate says
Do it Phill! Some of the most popular Youtubers (Casey Neistat, for example), is a daily-vlogger/story-teller. He is the most interesting to watch, even though its typically just him going about his day to day and life experiences. The difference is, he doesn’t just sit in front of a camera and talk. There is some of that, but a majority of his content is storytelling while he is out in the world. And the easiest way to get used to being on camera is just start. Your first 5-10 videos are just going to be you warming up to the camera, so don’t stress too much about the quality of the content until you feel a little more comfortable. Once you get a little more used to being in front of a camera, then you can up your channel content. And do stress about subs/views. Be real and they will come!
kate says
Don’t**** stress about subs/views

I have a few ideas for a channel of my own . I guess I really just don’t know how to start it off or get started . (Should I start randomly ?) Or what to talk about first. Where’s the best place to record ? Or best times . Is there anybody that I can personally talk to that might be able to fine tune my ideas or give me constructive criticism before I actually post my videos. Thanks xoxo
chloejade says
Just be you and nobody else. You’re personality will come off on camera. Natural lighting is best and FREE. If you have a place where you want to film then create a set up. You don’t want to try too hard because then it looks like you are faking. Just be you and you’ll be fine.
Athena says
I don’t know if this helps, but I have been following the YouTube channel “Video Influencers.” I, too, have a few ideas I’m mulling over/trying to fine tune. As for time to post, the main thing I keep seeing is just consistency (like, every Monday).
Abby Nia says
Hey. I’m a video editor and I’ve had this idea of making trailor like videos of the movies and animations, or some stuff similar to what you have even mentioned that Screen Junkies is making, but wouldn’t it be a copyright issue?
happydz says
thank you for this article
however, all the niches ideas mentioned above require to be in front of camera which is tough thing that not everybody can do it
